Around this time last year, Scotty McCreery released “It Matters To Her” as the third single from his Same Truck album.
Scotty said his love of Brooks & Dunn music inspired the song. He says that music was the soundtrack to his life… That makes me feel good! I guess, according to Scotty, it played a part in the sound of the record.
Ronnie and I think the world of Scotty – He did a great job earlier this year on tour with us. But, we can’t take the credit for this one… Scotty said it was a conversation with one of his co-writers Rhett Atkins that helped tell the story, a conversation about their wives.
After its release to radio, “It Matters To Her” would reach inside the Top 5, peaking at number three, in June.
