According to Jordan Davis, when he was dating his now wife Kristen, his priorities were football, fishing, hunting, and music… and not necessarily in that order. As his life progressed with marriage and kids, his number one priority became family.
Well, Jordan got together with two other writers, Ryan Hurd and Matt Dragstrem, to help tell the story of where he was and where he is now in his life. After writing “What My World Spins Around, Jordan recorded the song over the course of two days, doing a few vocal takes each day to keep it fresh. But, he was concerned that the chorus was too high. So, Jordan talked to Ryan about lowering the chorus, but he convinced him that he’d be able to do it. And, Jordan admits that Ryan was right!
The song was released in the summer of 2022, and by the following January, Jordan Davis had his fourth career number one and a 2-week one at that!
