Morgan Wallen’s major chart success led him to the top winner title at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards. Morgan took home six awards in all-genre categories – including Top Male Artist – and swept the country portion. Watch his acceptance speech here. With 15 career wins, Morgan now claims the second position, just behind Garth Brooks, as the top winning country artist at the BBMAs. Capping off his big night, Morgan was the lone country performer during the online-only show, performing “98 Braves” from his One Thing At A Time album, winner of Top Billboard 200 Album and Top Country Album.
Just behind Morgan in wins last night is Taylor Swift who claimed ten categories including Top Country Female Artist. She now ties Drake as with the most all-time wins (39).
