Hero of the Week: Cameron Murrell

Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Hero of the Week… Find out how you can nominate a Hero of the Week at the bottom of the page.

This week, we received an email from Michelle Parker. She writes:

Dear Kix,

I would like to honor Cameron Murrell, an officer for the Glasgow (Kentucky) Police Department. He’s known throughout the department and his community, as being a compassionate and caring person.

Cameron recently lost his wife, Tracy, in a car accident, but in his time of grief he was more concerned about his younger sister and how she would handle such a devastating loss.

He puts his life on the line daily to protect his family and community. He puts everyone’s needs above his own. He is a hometown hero and I hope you’ll choose Cameron as yours.

Signed,
Michelle

Kix’s Response:

Michelle, we’d be glad to honor Officer Cameron Murrell as our Hero of the Week. It sounds like he’s a really great guy who cares deeply about his family and community.
