Hero of the Week: JC

Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Hero of the Week… Find out how you can nominate a Hero of the Week at the bottom of the page.

We received an email from a listener named Julian who saw a Facebook post by a man in Spring Hill, Tennessee, who had his truck for sale. Now, that’s not out of the ordinary but what is was the message that followed.

The man that’s selling the truck is named JC. He posted pictures of his beautiful blue Chevrolet Colorado and wrote:

“Life happens. My wife was just diagnosed with breast cancer. I’m getting rid of all the bills I can, that means this truck must go, as much as I hate that. [I] absolutely love this truck and have had zero issues with it… Please message me with any questions if you are a serious buyer. I’m on a time crunch so please be serious [about purchasing].”

Julian who sent us this message was so moved by this man’s willingness to sacrifice all that he had to help the woman he loves that he thought JC should be recognized as a hero.

Kix’s Response:

You know what? I couldn’t agree more. You don’t have to save the world; sometimes it’s being a hero to the person right next to you, doing all that you can to ensure that they’re taken care of – that is definitely a hero in my book.

So, to JC in Spring Hill, you are our ACC Hero of the Week!
